I've been feeding my American cichlids Grand Sumo for about 2/3 months (which they love). I ran out about 3 weeks ago and having trouble getting more. I've tried 3 different types of pellets (well known quality brands) and they refuse to eat, well my dovii will eat shrimp and beef heart etc. But the others wont eat anything else other than Grand Sumo.

Any suggestions on what to do?

If they get hungry enough the pellets should be eaten.

Yeah i guess they wont starve themselves to death. Just really frustrates me them not eating and later having to scoop most the pellets out, and the ones you dont get out it makes the tank stink.

My dovii seems to be the only one that will eat a variety of food such as pellets, shrimp, beef heart, blood worms etc. All the other fish will only eat pellets (grand sumo especially). What would be the best way to get my other fish on the same diet as the dovii?

Wait 4 or 5 days then offer some shrimp
