Monoculus ;)
The place I got my stingray from had him for a month. I was told they had him eating ghost shrimp and small crayfish.

I've had success using both, but prefer feeding him Hikari Frozen Blood Worms. he really likes these, but I have to feed him a ton of them...

I tried throwing in some fresh shrimp pieces and he showed no interest in them...

any suggestions on getting him to eat these?

or any other recommendations for a larger food that I can give him?

start him on earth worms first, then mix shrimp with earth worms, then just shrimp, sometimes you need to starve them for a while. I would recomend getting him on earth worms first because they have a high protein content, thus it can build up some fat for them

All Three of my Motoros were started on Earthworms. My male has changed over
to other foods very readily (no starving or little tricks) The two females I just starved
for 3-4 days and they learned quickly after that.
The one thing I did have to do was make sure the pieces were small enough, to big
and the just chewed and spit it out.

you can try the starve method, or some members have had success with tying worms around shrimp.
