My 12 red bellies are currently destroying 6 frozen shrimp a day, What pellets are best and how can I get them started?

Try raising mice. After a couple of months, you'll have plenty of them. With them protein and fatty contents found in rodents, you wouldn't really need to feed as often. Me personally, I don't have them stomach for live feedings. Just a thought.

You have enough, I'd just go a day or two without feeding, then toss in a handful. They should get the idea.
My piranahas seem to get very aggressive towards eachother when they dont eat everyday, they eat as many shrimp as I put iin there, they never leave food
Toss in some pellets. If they dont eat them, net out the uneaten pellets. Try again the next day. A shoal wont go long til they start eating the pellets.

You can also pack the shrimp with pellets. They will get the taste of the pellets that way. Mine started eating massivor first try

Red bellies at that size can easily go a few weeks if not more without feeding, to get them on the ideal diet of a good pellet this seems obvious, starve for a few days offer some pellets, if their hungry they will eat, its very common to overfeed your animals not even just fish, but a hungry pet is a healthy pet.
I prefer nls, omega one is good too.
Here is my shoal devouring 6mm floating jumbo fish formula nls:
Took a couple days to get them to take, very easy, now i feed 1 fillet of talapia/week and about a couple dozen pellets 2x/weeks
Btw 12 rb piranha are going to need a 220gal imo eventually, my guess is thats a 150? And if the mice aren't store bought and they are healthy they can be a good diet, they may be messy tho and i dont prefer to see a live mouse get pounded lol.
