How to get rid of black beard algae in a discus and poly bichir eel planted tank

I havent had this in all of my 15 years of fish so how can I go about getting rid of it can't use fish like SSE and Chinese eaters are just a snack and I put a 34 horned neright snails they eat some but not a lot .the balck beard hasn't taken over yet but I think it going to take off any time just want to stop it befor it gets bad you know I ideas rember I have discus my nitrates 0 phos 0.1 light for the past month 3-5 hours a day sometime none at all

I was told that the rusty bruno pleco will eat them readily. I read somewhere that algae if from Australia originally.

You want to find out WHAT is causing the algae...You can look into Tahi or Indo Flying Fox, they get to be a pretty good size.

Whats your lighting?
Filtration?
Photo Period?
Co2?

i had black beard algae once before i just stuck my pleco in there he cleaned it up in the time i went to work and back, well im pretty sure thats wot it was anyway (not very experienced with plants yet)
