I really need help about ichs.. Its my first time i encounter this disease. Well, yea so far it killed my 2 3" peacock bass, 1 2" pacu, 1 white pleco, 1 african cichlid that i forgot its name. So if anyone can give me a real good advice i would really really appreciate it. Thank You

ALWAYS WORKS FOR ME!

Raise temperature ABOVE 86 degrees. Add aquarium salt (gradually, spread out over many hours, or add when doing water changes) at about 1 tablespoon per 5 gallons. Do daily water changes of 50% [Here's the tricky part, you need to add warm water from your tap; no hose water. Needs to keep tank water at constant temp above 86].

EDIT: However, this remedy is only good for the early stages of ich. If the ich is more advanced and killing fish (as you have stated; you'll have to get medication most likely. My brother used Coppersafe by Mardel labs once. It worked but it's expensive.)

I've had ich over a dozen times. This remedy has always worked for me. Usually takes 4-5 days for ich to visibly go away. Continue daily water changes until visible signs are gone. Once no visible signs, do water change ever other day. Keep salt concentration high and temperature high for at least a week. Then gradually reduce salt concentration by doing 25% water changes every other day.

Good luck, and keep us updated !!!! :headbang2

salt dont matter it doesnt kill the parasite!!!
u need some meds..rid ich is great...raise the temp a few degrees every hour till ur at about 84....this temp speeds up the life cycle of the parasite..to about 3-4 days for a coplete life cycle...
do a 25 percent water change and add a teaspoon of rid ich or w/e ich med u have to every 10 gals of water...
the next day repeat..the next day repeat...blah blah for a whole week or till u have not noticed a singal white speck on ur fish for 3-4 days(continue ur meds in this time frame)
u can add salt if u want(not really beneficial) but alot of fish get stressed out even more in salt treatments....
if u have a small extra tank u can do a salt dip for 30 mins but only add a tsp for every 40 gals...table salts fine....
also while using medications for ich.. make sure u keep ur tank heavily aeriated
