Right now my ball python is getting ready to shed. Its eyes are getting really blue, or glossy.should i try misting the cages and turning on the heat lamp to increase humidity.
If he looks like he is the shed, bump the humidity up by 10-15% then go and leave him alone until you see a shed in the cage. It usually take about a week.
Hey guys, remember: Wet does not equal humid. Ball pythons only need about 60% humidity to shed properly. You want it to be slightly humid over the whole period of time in between sheds for the best results.
A lot of times, waiting for that "blue" phase is really too late to have any impact on the quality of the shed.
