?
i recently put my tsn from my tank to the pond i need to know how to hand feed him when i throw in food he eats them but my rtc always eats more since he will quickly pick up the scent and start eating my tsn is very slow at eating although my tsn is much bigger than the rtc he is about a foot long. how can i hand feed him easily any help will be very useful.

put the food in the front of TSN. lol, also try to search some threads regarding how to handfeed those...

Tap on the side of the pond every time before you feed. Thats how my lfs gets their rtc to come to them for hand feeding.

TSNs most usually feed nothing like "gentle" RTCs, they lunge at their food, making it hard to feed by hand but use tongs, tweezers, or at least wear a glove so you don't get scratched. I fed all 7 of mine with long tweezers, no problem, just make sure you don't hurt the fish - let go of the food quickly and if he grabs the tongs, let go of it too quickly.

Spot feeding is easily accomplished via a PVC pipe too.

Finally, as stated, get them to be used to the "dinner bell".

the problem is now he is not eating i put him in the pond 3 days ago the pond is 3 ft deep 9feetl ong and 3 feet wide

It is likely just the stress of adjustment and IMHO has nothing to do with your OP question. There are ways to force feed a fish but that'd be irrational at this moment, if ever at all.

It vastly varies depending mostly on how stress-free the fish feels when it sees a hand with food (I don't think it can tell a difference) under water and something huge leaning above the water... Can be days, can be months.
