how to id Cichla melaniae ?

for a newbie like me is there a diff.between tem,melaniae and xingu?for me at 2 to 4 inches they look alike?got any pics to compare them..planing to buy melaniae.TIA

to be honest i don't know if ya could at two inch by 4 inch they seem to have a completly different look ..At 4 inch and above they have started producing more then 3 bars and different coloring...
