How to improve Dat's Appettite?

I have a new IT, so far I've been able to get him to eat Mp, Freshwater sardine and beefheart.
but he only takes a piece, Shape and buildwise he seems normal, but was told by the previous owner that he's a slow grower,
any advise/tips on how to get him to eat more?
 
Datnoids are generally slow growers but you seem to be doing the best you can by giving him the Massivore.

How long since you got the tiger? Great that it's already eating....once fully settled in, good appetite depends on water quality & tankmates.
 
When i had my dats I did alot of research on getting them to grow. I found that dat keepers in japan were getting fast growth using live food. Some said up to 1" per month. I never got to try the live diet before I lost them to some bad ich that would not go away, so I cant personally say if it helps. What you are currently feeding is the best for him. So I say be patient and they will get there. At least with prepared foods you dont have the health issues of live feeders. As long as your fish are healthy thats what counts.

thanks :) ah... massivore pellets is also mp :) my mp is market prawns .
i've had him for a week. so far he won't touch the skining krill pellets.
