How to keep a viv cool in a hot weather?

I'm planning to get a corn snake soon, and right now I'm still preparing.

My first major problem is that my room is very hot. Right now it's 11:14pm and the temp is barely dropping to 88F, when it's been 90F all day.

The thermometer the registers high/low tells me that the temp peaked at 93F today while I was at work.

That's way too hot for a corn snake, so I wonder what I can do to keep the viv cool during the summer heat?

My plan so far is to keep the viv in the stand of my aquarium, and I will be getting a couple small fans to place over the screen lid, as well as a large water bowl so that hopefully the evaporating water will cool the temp inside the viv.


is there anything else I can do? All the caresheets I've read so far explain how to heat a snakes viv, but now how to cool it down during hot weather.

ive seen 6 x 6 desk air conditioning im sure that would work

Can a snake be harmed from sitting in it's water bowl all day?

You can get a pretty decent powerful AC for $200 at Home Depot that will keep the room regulated.

I've been wanting to do this, but my apartment complex doesn't officially allow window ac units, but they don't officially allow a 120g aquariums either.

I ghettofied my window by taping some aluminum to it right now. I really hate myself for doing that and I'll probably be taking it off when I get home haha

I guess if the fans don't work, I may just end up having to get an AC unit and owning up to the electricity bill

I actually use the aquarium cooling fans founbd on ebay for my frogs,they seem to do the job great

two fan system, one on the window pulling in the cool air outside, the other next to my bed.

Thanks for the tip snakheader, I finally got the viv today, so once I clean it out tomorrow, I'll start checking out fans to see which cools the aquarium best, and making sure I maintain humidity.
