How to keep aro from damaging fins

So my silver has some top fin damage from jumping. But for some reason his bottom fin is splitting at the ends.not really sure y it's splitting like that anyone have any ideas? Was planning small daily water changes till it heals fully. Does that sound like a good idea?

Does the aro have tank mates that might nip fin? ...keep an eye on it, some times the aro will chase it's tail and try to bite it. Sounds stupid but it happens "tail biting synromde"

Nope no tank mates but there was two Bolivian rams that I put in there because they were bothering my discus but he ate them . His tail fin is perfect so i don't think he is doing it to himself I'll keep an eye out for that anyways.

how big is your tank? WHat is your filtration? What is your wc schedule? You may need to up your wc's.

It's a 75 gallon tank. Two emporer 90 gallon filters and water changes are Tuesday thursday and Sunday
