how to keep my cichlids from picking on my plecos?

i have a royal and a gold nugget and the cichlids are always nipping at them does anybody have an answer to this i will be pissed if they kill one of my plecos.

maybe put some more hiding places for the plecos.. africans can be very nasty.

the whole back of it is filled with river rocks.

I suggest getting some good driftwood pieces, maybe with crevices in them ... Manzman has some cool stuff on sale in the vendor forum

As long as the Plecos are about the same size as the Cichilds, they should be able to defend themselves I would think... but if the Cichlids are way larger, in my experience, the plecos will eventually get killed...

plecos are egg predators in nature, your cichlids are acting naturally.
