Hey everyone. I ordered a new tank and I currently have one with snails in it. Thankfully, there's not a lot of them. I have had them in my tank for around 6 months so I can tolerate the low amount I have. My question is, how do I transfer my hang on the back and canister filters to my new tank without the snails? Can it be done without ruining the bb? Thanks.

id say get some clown loaches and let them eat them.

I could and I may cuz I like the clown loaches. But they're also in the filters. Is there any way to get rid of them. I have mesh bags filled with cermaic rings and dont know if the snails can get in there.

get a water bottle and put a piece of cucumber in it and maybe some gravel to way it down. let the bottle soke in the tank over night and the snails should be in the bottle/ take the bottle out and take the snails out. repeat if there are more snails. always worked for me

you could add some loaches and then in the filter just dump in some hot water to kill the snails? i did that before and it worked perfectly (make sure the filter isnt going of course)

Great idea with the water bottle, Im going to try it. As for cleaning the filters with hot water, is that going to harm the bb? Im also going to have to do a close inspection of all the sides of my filters. I did that before when I had a filter that was for the tank with snails and I put the filter on another tank and havent seen any.
