well theyre is no way to make a diy misting system
but a driper is posible to make your self
simply get a pop bottle poke a hole or two
and fill with water
then put it over your tank

Why not? can you not use regular tap water? (maybe not, I don't know too much about reptiles)

If you can use tap water, you could always set it up like a DIY drip system, but use a misting nozzle instead of a drip emitter. You could put a solenoid valve (on a timer) in the line to turn the water on/off.

A simpler way might be to put a pump in a bucket and have the pump turn on by a timer to mist water. A lawn/garden spray nozzle should do the trick.

(They do things like this in the produce section of grocery stores all the time.)

OMG NO WAY MAN!
if someone makes one im foresure gonna build one :P
try putting it up on kingsnake...

Even if you couldn't use tap, you could make a reservoir tank that could hold what you wanted (RO/Di, etc, etc) and stick a pump on a timer (it will have to be a good one so you can select really short times/multiple times a day) with a reducer to build up some pressure with a mist head (like the grocery store) to break up the flow.

Thanks guys I think I am going to use the pump on a timer idea.

also a bowl of water/ an intense heat lamp on it, with a cooler side on the other half of the terrarium (APPROX.75 F) so that it could condense. It wouldn't be like a complete misting twice a day, instead just a constant high humidity. Don't know if its high enough though.

I've also asked some guys from here but no one contributed thier idea..So i just answered my own thread on the "iguana newbie" thread:ROFL:

It worked perfectly ! cheap idea using a soda bottle and humidifier
No spills,no drips from your cage and your pet cannot be in contact with the humidifier which can hurt your specimen

I'm plannin to make a bigger version when i have time, coz the water warms easily due to ultrasonic probably:newbie:
