ri
can any one help me i wana make a home made sump for my tank any sugestions

Just a suggestion, I would go buy one rather then make it. In the end if you go to the right place it will cost about the same and it will probably be of better quality. Building them yourself really is only beneficial if you do it a lot, as the ramifications of a poorly built sump aren't worth the small about you might save building your own.

where would i be able to get them

That being said you basically need a "box" you can use a smaller tank. You'll need a catch basin on one said with a piece of plastic on top with holes in it to place felt on. Underneath that should be a chamber to hold biomedia (I use bioballs) Then space for the water to flow under. Next you need baffels to keep bubbles from forming and messing up your pump. In there leave a space for a block of plastic spounge material. Then a large chamber on the other side to put your return pump. Hope this helped I'll see if i can find a good picture to post for you.

local fish stores should have them, that is where i got mine. They actually make them to fit standard sizes. I wouldn't go to a petco or petsmart but more of you local real fish store.

thanks for the help so far
