im not a gar expert but isnt that pushing the limit? but to make him grow fast is by feeding it the best food you can possibly feed him.

Honestly as others have stated that may be a bit much for your Gar. However, if you have a large enough aquarium as well as feed it hearty meaty food daily, have the correct water parameters, and excellent filteration daily, then you may achieve that size you are wishing for. If you don't, that's fine too, just don't push nature.
