How to make Clown Knife come out during day?

Hi all,

My 5" CK stays in his little cave the WHOLE day, UNTIL its lights out for me (have tank in bedroom) and BAM there he goes... Sometimes I turn off the lights while leaving the TV on, and I can see him swimming ALL over.

Anyhoo, when will he change his habits or thats pretty much how he is? Don't want to take off his cave as when I first got him (he coudnt find cave), he would just stay at the top left corner on the tank (trying to hide).

With CKs, they are pretty shy most of the time. They are nocturnal by nature and therefore hide all day and are active at night. In captivity, as they get larger, they tend to become more bold and will come out all the time. As long as they feel comfortable and are adjusted to their surrounds, they'll come out more.

FYI, i saw an OSSA Knife in my LFS...it was dying, so sad...was just laying near upside down on the gravel. LFS said they could barely keep em alive when they get em...anybody had any experience with them? It was the first time I saw them...
