I seen some nice pics and videos of other people's wolf set ups. My wolf is becoming more active at night and day. So I want to make him as comfortable as possible. He likes to hang out by the Anubis and it has quickly become his ambush spot. Yesterday I got some hornwort but I don't really have a setup for live plants and the Anubis is the only plant I've ever bought that stayed alive this long. There is a pic of my tank now. Ignore the feeders they are suppose to be his food and to get him used to lots of movement. I don't want him to be skittish when I move the tank to its stand next week.

my black wolf likes a bit of current in his tank. its a 1500gph. he always is out when i come around the tank but im pretty sure hes just begging for food. he takes frozen talapia right out of my hand.

I have some power heads but nothing that will do hog like that. It did swim right up to me when I went in the room just before the last pic.

Wolves generally like calmer waters. They like to live in lagoons where is there is plenty of small fish in the wild. I do have to agree that the bigger species such as aimara like to hang out in high current rivers where they catch their food. plants would be great for the wolf.

When I kept my ery erys, I actually didn't have a lot decor, just a sand substrate and a plastic plant. I have never kept any hoplias species but they love to hide. I am hoping to keep one in the near future.

Ever since I put those feeders in there he's been coming out a lot more. Just snagged a pic of him chilling out in the open but I think he's waiting to ambush a few of the feeders. I just picked up some duckweeds too. Lucked out and found a couple small pieces of java ferns in the bag. He seems comfortable.

Lix i like the hoplias. Probably one of the more challenging fish I've had. The first two I had jumped so that was upsetting but this time I made a hood out a stryo box I had laying around. I feel I don't need it cause this guy hasn't tried to jump but I'm not taking any chances. I hope to one day get an ery ery though they were my inspiration when I saw Indy Tex's wolf pack.
