Considering buying a used tank that's been drilled for a sump twice. Once by the owner of the previous, previous owner, and again by the current owner. I know I could silicone a piece of glass, or acrylic over top of it, but, I'm trying to find a more "nicer looking" alternative than having to silicone a piece a glass/acrylic creating in my opinion an eye sore. I will be keeping one of the holes for an overflow if I do decide to buy the tank. Thanks -Justin

bulkhead and cap

^ agreed but would go one step further. Use a threaded bulkhead and put the cap on the inside. That way if you decide down the road to use the hole you can complete the plumbing from the outside while the tank is running and once if complete/dried, unthread the cap on the inside and bam your running without draining the tank. Never patch a hole it ruins the resale value of the tank and others like saltwater guys may pass on it.

Here's a pic from the seller. He patched it. Will it come off? It's definately a "fix'r upper", but I'm off school, and it'll give me something to do.
