Get a lot of experience with marine tanks first.
Then large tanks (including the life support systems/filters).
Then do a lot of reading and talking to others who have kept them.
Avoid the book "Sharks and Rays" by Scott Michael at all cost (unless you are using it to wedge under your tank stand to make it sit level).
Yah thanks zoodiver, Ill make sure I have at least 10 years of experience before getting a shark . that way i can keep one alive for longer than 3 years.
I would say get acquainted with marine tanks really well. Then go out and do a lot of research. When you think you know what your doing in regards to sharks, go out and do more research.
