How to prepare for power outages

This will be my first winter spent out in the country and I am concerned about losing power. A couple people that live right around me have said they went without power for 5-6 days last winter. What can i do to prepare for losing power for a couple or many days without buying a pricey generator? Any advice would be much appreciated.

i forgot to mention i have two tanks, 150 gal and 100 gal

Hey you can try a power inverter
The run off car battery. You could atleast run the essentials.

u can get a battery powered air pump that also plugs into the wall so that when the power goes out, the air stone turns on.
