is there any way to prevent dropeye in silvers? any reason that it happens?
mine is about 5" and it DOESNT have dropeye. i was wondering when it usually appeared and why?
i would obviously like to do everything i can to prevent it

The only way to prevent drop eye is to not buy a silver. Other than that you cant prevent it. Pretty much all silvers get it except a few that dont have drop eye. Theres some ppl on this forum that have mint silvers(no drop eye or PLJ) and it looks awsome.

Yeah your odds are if you get a silver, it will get drop eye as it gets older. You will very rarely, find an adult silver w/o DE. Another option would be to get a black aro, I havent seen one of these w/ DE yet...

I've had my 7 inches HBRTG for 2.5 months and everything was okay until now. My aro for over a week has developed a bad case of drop eye. Seriously, how can I fix this problem? Is this terrible condition reversable?

I suspect it developed drop eye because we put a plecos or 'bottom feeder' fish in our aquarium about 2 weeks. My aro got really curious with it and kept chasing it to the bottom of the tank.

Non reverseable-

Have you seen it jumping or smashing into the glass at all----

I happen to have 5 pleco's in my tank-My aro also can be found cruiseing the bottom of my tank---I once again have not a problem one....

the easiest way to prevent dropeye is to move to alaska and open up a bunch of cigar shops
