How to properly/safely move a stingray

I'm going to be transferring my motoros from a 350 to a 480g this week. The only other times I handled them was when they came in the bag and moving them from quarantine into the 350 when they were small. I used a fine mesh net, which got caught on the barb and i had to cut off

they are currently about 14" and 12" disc size right now.

Rubber net - you can get one from a sporting goods store

I steer clear from all nets, I use a large laundry basket each time I move my rays. Works perfect since the holes let the water drain out.
