How to protect fish from hitting braces on tank ?

How do you protect your fish from hitting the sharp braces on your tanks ?

Tie some sponges to the braces

Can you lower the water level? I had this problem and only lower my water level a bit by reducing return pump. I didn't want to start cutting with wier on the internal overflow.

With jumping fish it can be impossible to stop them from hitting the bracing, I just glue foam noodles around the sharp edges to stop the fish hurting themselves on them.
