One of my overflow pipes drops water roughly 2 inches down to a drip tray. There is a LOT of water coming from this 1.5 inch pipe, and it's loud. If I lay a filter pad across the top of the tray, the water no longer distributes evenly across the tray. And it doesn't help much.
The water is just pouring directly from the pipe. Do other people use some sort of attachment at the end of their run-off pipes to silence them? I've thought about cutting a whole in a sponge and burying the end of the pipe in the sponge. Or maybe a sprinkler attachment? Any ideas would be appreciated.... It's REALLY loud.
