How to Raise Lower Aquarium PH

I'm no Expert and want to know how or what you guys use to raise and lower PH in your tanks...Lets use a 55 gallon Tank for example...

Most the time I leave it as is just add water conditioner. When I used to experiment on my breeding tanks I would add the ph up or down to the bucket before adding the water to the tank. Depending what fish you keep and how hardy they are I would add a little over a few days. So it doesn't cause a big change and stress the fish.

Raise...add limestone or sea shells
Lower add peat...or if you plant, some substrate for plants will keep PH low and stable.
