alright so my 130 gal is plumbed into a 30 gal sump (mag12 pumping water) my CPR overflow has two 1" bulkheads and is plumbed with 1" pvc. inside the overflow i have two pvc standpipes to reduce "water falling noise" with in the over flow. on my mistake i forgot to install to ball-gate valves on my intake and i can hear the water falling with in the pvc pipes. is there anything i can do to reduce that noise with out having to cut the pvc to add ball valves and with out reducing the flow?

Oh ok. I'm not an expert on overflows but a ball or gate valve on an overflow box wouldn't work. You could extend the drain into the water in the sump

no pics right now but i do have a vid when i was setting up in the tank

the durso standpipes are out and just regular standpipes are being used right now and the sponges are gone.

I can't believe your dursos can't keep up w the flow. That's a mag 12 right? With the height and all those 90s you're no where close to 1200gph. But then again im it sure how those CPR boxes work.

with my return plumping i should be around 800 gph or so, but for some reason the dursos dont work :irked:
