I just cleaned my Fluval FX5 for the first time as there was a local power outtage overnight. I was going to let it run longer before cleaning it.

I decided to play it safe and unplugged my FX5 while the power was still down, cleaned it and then by accident took off one of the lock clamps. Now I can't get it back on again. I looked and decided I don't want to break some small part and have a non working FX5 over something stupid.
Anyone want to give some directions?.

Unscrew it, than put it back on? Ive only taken off one and it slid right back on

You mean unscrew the lock clamp itself?...There seems to be a washer in there that prevents it from being taken apart.

I did manage to pop it back on with some gentle prodding.

Im not too sure wht u r talking about. I thought u meant the hose clamps that hold the hose to the valves

I've had the locking clamps come out of their groove on the lid, just takes a bit of pushing but they go back on. I've always been able to do it just by hand.

Ohhh yeah those thing. Yeah on my older fx5 they come out sometimes during maintenance. I just force em back in.
