Seriously, does anyone know how to remedy this problem. Here's some background info: I acquired a baby silver aro about 3 weeks ago. It was only about two inches long at the time and appeared to be quite normal. The owner of the LFS who sold it to me had been feeding it live tubifex worms. So I tried to implement the same feeding regimen. However, it became difficult because the poor little aro would not always get to the food before it would sink down to the bottom of the tank. I tried other foods, but it did not accept them readily. Even small guppies were to big for it to swallow. But eventually it began taking to flakes and tiny floating pellets. (I usually try not to feed guppies to avoid illness). Anyhow, last weekend I went on a one day/one night trip. When I had returned, I noticed that the little aro had a slight curve at the end of it's spine. I hear that this is because of poor nutrition and that it can and will survive. But is the condition curable? What can I do? Or should I just chalk this one up as a mistake to learn from and just accept it? (It is now 3 inches and eats pretty much anything I throw in there that stays afloat). It just seems crooked. Check it out (sorry for the poor picture quality):
