So my 60gallon tank is a healthy and well-filtered tank and free of ick or any kinds of internal parasites, but I have been noticing very little white dots that look like worms, that stick on the front of the glass and move around and in the water as well. Are they harmful? I don't know if high temperature and aquarium salt could fix this, but when my jack dempseys previously had ick I treated the tank and it was all gone but now these have appeared. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I think they are planarian worms. I don't think they are harmful. They usually appear when you over feed and the filtration is inadequate. You can do WC frequently and reduce feeding to fix it.

If you have messy cichlids in there, I would guess planaria. They're not a big deal and usually appear when there is excessive uneaten food in the substrate. Step up your water changes (and gravel vac every time), and lighten up on the feedings. They should clear up in no time. If they have a forked tail and/ or are attached to the fish, you could be looking at anchor worms which need to be treated with meds.

I think both of you are right. I do have 5 messy ebjd's who sometimes do leave uneaten NLS pellets and do leave lots of waste, and I admit to over-feeding sometimes :( . I will definitely step up my water changes and vacuum, however I have sand and not gravel so it makes it a lil harder to vacuum everything. They are not attached to the fish, just the glass on my tank. Thanks for your help and hopefully they are not anchor worms.
