HI, I got 265 Gallon acrylic tank 84x30x24, have blue background build in middle overflow, I really dont need the overflow bcuz I got 2 fx5 running on it and it taking space, I just wonder how can I safety remove the overlow without breaking anything?
I try google but nothing came up.
also which method is best for drilling 3/4" acrylic?
Thanks

You could run your FX5 plumbing through the overflow for a less plumbing in the tank?

I was thinking the same thing but I read somewhere running fx5 with overflow will decrease flow rate and bad for the filter?

Roto Zip it out. I am working on the same thing on my 300. The next step is to use a router and remove the rest of the overflow. After that I will bond a patch with some weld-on # 16

As long as your overflow has the capacity to keep up with the FX5's I can't see that it wold be an issue.
