how to seal a drilled 15 gal aquarium

I got a drilled 15 gal aquarium the whole is about the size of the bottom of a coke can ,i tried sealing it with a piece of replacement glass from homedepot 3/32 thickness i put the glass on the whole and silconed it down and filled it up , it leaks slowly, any suggestion how to fix this or a better way to seal a drilled aquarium

You could use a bulk head with a plug. But with a hole that size you might spend more on a bulkhead than a new tank.

Not that it matters but is the hole in the bottom or side?

Shoulda worked .

Did you clean both pieces of glass with alcohol or (?) ?

How long did you let the silicone cure?

What type pf silicone?

You should just have to run a small bead of silicone around the hole and place the repair piece of glass on it and give a little twist while pressing down to even out the bead, let it cure and 48 hrs and your good to go.

i waited 24 hours, and i used silcone 1 from home depot

Should have worked if the glass was clean and inside the tank!

There is your problem, always have a beer when working on your tank.
