does anybody know how to seal glass to plywood or metal so it will be watertight?

when you say seal glass to plywood or metal... do you mean like at a 90degree angle? or are you laying a piece flat, and need a way of gluing it together into like a sandwich?

like at a 90 degree angle. im figuring out how to make a plywood aquarium. just one vertical piece for the front.

ok, cut a viewing hole, leaving at least 3" of frame around the glass. have the glass cut to 2" bigger than the aperture.

coat this panel in fibregalss resin.

sillicone the glass to the resin. DO NOT BE SHY WITH THE SILLICONE

paint over the resin and edges of the glass with whatever interior sealent you are using. zavlar, ruberizeit - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/200786928...X:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649#ht_1813wt_1299 if ur in the uk

job done!

thanks alot. for sealant im planning on using pond liner. seems easier, simpler, and more secure.
