I bought a canister filter im curious if I cut the flex tube in half to create a in/out?
Also came with o rings do I need to put them in it or something?
Which kind of filter is it? The answer may be different based on the model.
I was able to cut the tube on my marineland canisters, but I don’t know if you could with something like a fluval.
Got six diamond tetras in a 20 gallon with bottom layer of panels with filter bags of zeolite on each panel, a heater, fluval 207 and lighting
free floating bio media, java moss that was somewhat dry, filled the cup with water put the lid back on and let it float around, pearling
probably adding nano air stones as well
What I did was put my filter where I planned for it to stay, hooked up the hose and ran it up. Mounted it on the little circle pieces and cut right where I planned for my intake to be situated.
After I did that, my output hose was practically the perfect length to be where I positioned it. (Don't take my word on this. Measure twice, cut once lol)
