How to set up rocks!

I have been working on setting up my new tank and am new to using rocks like the ones I just purchased. I need to know if they Are supposed to be rinsed or cleaned throughly and how long I should wait Newfie wedding fish. I only got a few of these today as they costed me a decent amount. Added a pic also.

I am also wondering if these rocks will change color overtime. I figured I would do some research and make sure I getting what the fish want. I plan on stocking my tank with some African Cichlids and I found they are less aggressive with more cover I tank and that they like caves and rocks to swim and hide around. Any suggestions on what else they would like would be most appreciated. (Just want to add after finding this site the other day I have been on it once a day at the least love this site)

Just give em a quick rinse off in the sink till the water runs clean and drop them in! :)
 
Thanks just want to make sure there wasn't anything special with these. Going got pick up some more tomorrow and make it so the rocks stack higher and have more caves. Can't wait to have my this finished and start stocking it.

Haha yea I only put them there since they were dry. Wish I was able to get a bigger tank but living at home about to start college, I could only imagine how mad my father would be if I brought home something huge like a 125gallon. This 45 will hold me off for now.
