I was in the process of making a pvc overflow and purchased 2 drilled tanks. Now I have no idea how to set these up... Same pvc setup except with 1 U at the bottom instead of the 2 in a pvc overflow? Any help would b appreciated.

no need for any Us since the tank is drilled... however you might want to do some down facing 90s for noise...

Is that what this is?

That is a bulkhead fitting. It is missing the nut. If you don't have it, you will need to buy another one.

The bulkhead (fitting) goes in the drilled hole and allows the attachment of a hose (which goes to or from the filter). Each tank should have two.

I have all four and the nuts for them. What's a down facing 90 though? and since the tanks are drilled I just run the pvc straight down into the sump? Thanks again!

the 90 on those bulkheads is so it make the transition from horizontal(side to side) to vertical (up and down) so that you dont have to do any special plumbing to run the hoses to the sump.. (the ridges on the 90 are barb fittings.. they are for connecting hoses not pvc).. the flat piece with the rubber gasket goes in the tank.. then nut goes on the outside.. point the 90 down...

you need to do some searching in the filtration and diy sections to learn how this stuff works.. trust me all your answers are there.. none of my tanks are drilled and i still know how all this stuff works just from reading this site... (im not mocking you or anything so dont take me telling you to seach as an insult)

No, I get you... I did a couple of searches and couldn't find anything... guess I'll give it another try.
