I have a rockscape in my tank currently, and i really like the way it looks. I want to bond the rocks together so that when i take them out, i can easily put them back together in the same exact way.

I bought some underwater epoxy from dr foster & smith and it didn't work at all. I just need a safe, non-toxic way to bond the rocks together so that they can stay positioned the same way when i have to put them back.

Thanks.

You could use aquarium safe silicone in the color of your choice. Just make sure the rocks are clean and dry before you glue them, and wait for the silicone to dry.

I was hoping i would be able to use some sort of epoxy that is safe and cures underwater. That way i could just work my way down from the top of the rockscape until all were glued together.

The product i bought from dr foster was suppose to bond wet rock and cure underwater, but it didn't work at all.

Check a marine hardware store. GL on finding out if it's "fish safe" though.

my best bet is buy the aquarium safe silicone from drs f and s. but it has to cure dry.

GE silicone II worked for me took over night to cure unfortunately. It was very successful at adhering slate to slate though...

GE type II (type 2) has nonaquarium safe anti mildewstuff in it... some people use it and have no issues.. other use it and wake up to dead fish... either way its not aquarium safe so its not reccomended... use the type I (its aquarium safe) or another aquarium safe silicone.. theres a sticky about the different types that are safe and what they are good for in the DIY section
