So I have always like Driftwood as most people do. I just hate the peach fuzz that grows on it. Any way to stop it? I have reduced the light to 2 hours a day and it still grows fairly quick

It seems like every 1-2 weeks its fuzzy or looks like the wood has slime coat... and it looks awful!
Dont have a UV connected
No Pleco in this tank at the moment (but I have always had this problem).
