Yesterday I purchased a 90 gallon aqueon megaflow tank with a built in over flow, i also purchased an aqueon proflex model 3 sump, and an aqueon megaflow accessory kit. How do i start the siphon once i put water in the tank? i don't understand how to start the suction going up the pipe then down into the sump.

All you have to do is plug in the pump and watch gravity work it's magic. I was kind of clueless when I got my first drilled tank too, but once you get everything figured out it's all pretty simple.

If you can, post up some pictures of what you have so people can help you figure out what you have and how it all works

You got it, once the water level reaches over the top of the rural, gravity will pull it back down while the pump returns water to the display tank.

Sumps are so easy and nice when you get onto them

Like the Aqua CLear HOB's, make sure the main sump/canister/box is filed with water and plug in..............Some filters come with a built in pump device that helps starts the siphon, ex:FilSTar XP models...........Or , you can always suck way through it all and the water will flow.............:naughty:
