how to steralize barb...

As some of you guys remember I posted a couple weeks ago when I got my ray saying he was getting ready to shed a barb. When I came home from work tonight I saw it sitting on the tile in my tank (tile makes everything so much easier). What is the procedure to sterilizing a barb so I can keep it and show it off? I know I need to boil it but is there anything else I should do? Just wanna make sure it's 100% safe.

Just scoop the barbs out and let them dry out for a few days....

i boil my barbs and then scrape off any sheath with an old toothbrush. works perfectly.

You don't need to boil the barb. Just boil some water then pour it over the barb.

That's what I do. Rinse it in boiling water
