I posted this up on AC too, but I figured the MFK people might have some other suggestions. The tank is a 110 tall, so it's the same footprint as a 75 but like 30 inches tall. Filtration is a sump and an emperor 400. Lighting is 2 150 watt halides and 4 power compacts. Probably won't be running all of them the whole time. I want this tank to be heavily planted. Give me some suggestions on plants and fish. My friend manages a fish store that gets some good hard to find stuff in, so suggest anything and I'll see if I like it.
Thanks guys.

1. this is my dream tank.
2. I've planned for this tank for years.

My suggestions:

1. Fancy goldfish, thin layer of gravel only.
2. Lava rock wall from top to bottom, planted with java fern. Fish: yo yo loaches and birchardi or yellow labs
3. Lava rock wall from top to bottom, planted with java fern. Fish: giant school of barbs, golden, or tiger, green plus albino. Perhaps a giant school of tetras and loaches.

I would say nothing too large as most fish prefer to swim left to right, not up and down. I would consider discus or angelfish. On the other hand you could just stick with large shoals of tetras. If I was you I would get a school of clown loach, they are my favorite smaller fish.

i say make a reef tank:P
