How To Stop Disease that Attacks Fish Scales

Hello,

I would appreciate some help. I have some wild caught Malawi cichlids that have some sort of scale disease that starts as a small white patch and then gets bigger and eventually starts wiping out their scales.

I have tried metronidazole, pimafix, melafix, ich medication without much success. I just keeps coming back.

Any advice would be great.

Do you have pics? What are your water parameters? Have you looked at one of the sticky threads titled Freshwater Disease Guide?

I'll try taking some pictures. No I have not looked at the Freshwater Disease Guide, but I'll look at it now for ideas and report back.
