How to stop ......

Need more details:) Tank size would be a huge factor.

Let them settle their differences, and eventually get them a larger tank. I've had oscars scuffle for a few days before they chilled.

Usually with cichlids it helps to have a small group of fish, say 5 or 6 instead of just a couple. This allows the fish to establish a pecking order instead of just have one fish be the boss of the other.

However, in your case, it would probably best to let the fish figure it out on their own as your tank is already overstocked.

I wouldn't say that it's overstocked at the moment, but It will be. There is enough room for the both of them for a few months (assuming that's all that's in there.)

the tnk is not overstocked at all so dont worry about that. you might want to make sure the fight s dont get too rough. i let my oscars go at it AND ONE ALMOST DIED!!-hope it all works out
