How to switch my Ck to floating pellets

I recently aquired a baby clown knife. He is eating sinking pellets and I would like to switch him to floating pellets . I would like to change because I can take them out easier when not eaten to preserve water quality. Any imput will be apresiated.

I would wait and let it put on some size if it’s a baby. When bigger you can get it on floating pellets be starving it and not needing a long period of time is needed. But when small would do the clean up and when it’s put on some size then consider. It should grow pretty quickly. How big is the knife?

The knife is about 3 inches.

How much size until I begin to starve him?

Wait till it’s about 6-8inches. Atleast let it show growth and double in size if I were to try. It shouldn’t be that long.
