Receiving a group of 4 zebrina pike cichlids next week and I plan on growing them out until 2 of my zebrina pair off and I was wondering how I could tell if they have paired off?

Never kept pikes but i would assume like most cichlids female will choose a male test him if she likes they start cleaning a digging pits
