How to tell Female from Male?

Hi all, I have a 7" SVENI, and a 6" Johana. Just wondering how can I tell if they are Male or Female? Thanks...

Wait until they complete thier color change.

as I said in the other thread from the what I see on the dorsals you might have a male Johanna and a female Sveni. get a better shot of the dorsals extended and wait for the color changes

Thanks for reply's everyone, What "color change" should I expect from these fish, and what will be the deciding factor for male/female color change? Thanks AND NO, I am not thinking about breeding them at all.....

When it comes to Johanna coloring. The female will have a more distinct red coloring
