How to tell if eggs are fertilized?

My female Black convict layed eggs, but how so i tell if they are fertilized?

unfertilized eggs will turn white. Fertile eggs will turn (for most species) a goldish tan color.

Be patient........ you will know in a day or two.
About 3 days to hatch; then another 3 days till free-swimming.

Okay im jusf asking in case, thank you for the info, for this my first possible batch. I had some JDs breed long ago, but they all died or something I dont remember.
