how to tell if my ray is pregnant

I think my female retic. ray is pregnant.. How do I tell for sure?

Depending on how far along you think she is.
The first thing I notice is the male will leave her alone. Then I will notice her eating increase to almost double over time and then around day 40-60 you should start to see movement on her back when she is sitting still depending on the type of ray , how many pups and how use to seeing movement you are.

She looks increasingly big in her "back" but i cant quite see any movement just yet. What is an average gestation period for retic rays?

ya on the rays back you will see the pups moving around at times it looks like a jiffy pop bag.

I've never had rectic pups but I would guess them to be the same as most rays and around 90-120 days

I just sat and watched for a few minutes and it looks like there is a few bumps here and there but its tough to tell... I hope so

how big is your female retic and also how big is the males claspers?

She is about 5-6 inches, IF she is it might still be early stages.

i cant see the pic but if you dont have a mature male then having a prego female would be pretty hard. and at 5-6 i might be wrong but i think that is a little small. could be the right size for the retics but that i dont know. could also be just eating good i know my retics get huge and the backs are very tall.
