I just bought a zebra nerite from the lfs, and during the car ride home it didnt stick to the bag at all, just sat there shell-first on the bottom, i did a wc while i acclimated it, then put it in. It hasn't moved since.

Does it just need time or what? Any ideas?

It is possible that it needs some time to acclimate. Occasionally some of mine will be upside-down and will stay like that for days. Make there is plenty of algae in the tank for it to eat. I am sure I starved a few of mine. They eventually give up and flip over. The snails have a weird cover on their inside. I believe that it will freely fall out if they are dead. If you really arent sure you can smell them. If they are dead they will smell pretty bad.

Yea, he's good, active and taking out the algae, thanks

If you sniff a horrible stench, then snail is dead. That's the best way to tell a dead nerite. Try a bag of several dead snails, the stench won't remove from your skin for hours.:WHOA:
