How to tell the difference between ZZ & TT?

I want to get a Zig Zag because of their size, but will be getting it as a little guy and I don't want to mistake him for a TT. Is there are defining characteristics I should be looking for to tell the difference between a ZZ and TT when they're little guys?

i used to own both and the difference is that zz has strips on um, and the tt has spots and horizontal lines
